In 2023 I made a natural form dress out of a blue and dark blue gingham cotton fabric. I ended up calling it my Dressmaker’s Dress as I added a sewing chatelaine to it for the Victorian Fashion Show I organised and presented for the Oamaru Victorian Heritage Celebrations. I had added a working class/occupational section in the show that year, so I was a Victorian dressmaker.
I got some photos of it during the week, without the chatelaine though as I only wore that on the Saturday. I loved how even though I had kept the design simple it looked detailed enough.

And a photo with my Mum, while wearing the sewing chatelaine
